Budget Expense: Receipt Log — Support

Add or scan an expense
Use the add action from Home or Expenses. Enter details by hand, take a photo or import one from Photos. Check the merchant, date, currency, total, tax and recognized line items before saving. Use a clear, well-lit, complete receipt image. Recognition is not guaranteed to be accurate. Camera access can be enabled in iOS Settings.
Apple Intelligence availability
Compatible devices with Apple Intelligence available can receive additional invoice item and merchant assistance. Local Vision OCR still works when Apple Intelligence is unavailable. Receipts are processed on the device; no third-party cloud AI account is required.
Inventory and warranties
Add items from a reviewed receipt or from Items. Add purchase dates and warranty dates yourself, then set local reminders if you want them. Warranty dates are not inferred from a receipt scan. Notifications need system permission. The app does not verify manufacturer warranty coverage.
Pro and restoration
Free includes receipt scanning, expense history, CSV export and 20 inventory items. Pro adds unlimited inventory items and PDF expense/inventory reports. Monthly/yearly subscriptions and lifetime purchase provide the same benefits. Use Restore Purchases on the Pro screen with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Manage or cancel active subscriptions in Apple's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. There are no ads in the free or Pro app.
Export and backup
Settings lets you export expense records and a backup file. Inventory also supports export. Choose a Files destination such as iCloud Drive for your backup. The app does not automatically sync your ledger. Keep backup files regularly, especially before replacing a device or uninstalling the app. Restore a backup only after reviewing the app's confirmation; it replaces the current local records.
Reminders
Manage daily reminders in Settings and warranty reminders with the relevant item. Ensure notification permission is enabled in system Settings. Delivery can be affected by Focus settings or system notification preferences.
Languages and requirements
The app interface is currently English. Version 1.1 requires iOS/iPadOS 26.2 or later. Local text recognition supports the configured OCR languages; recognition quality depends on the source image and device. No developer login is required.
