Common Topics
- Camera permission denied: Open iOS Settings, find PawGuard, and enable Camera access for Find Ingredient. Then relaunch the app.
- Scan limit reached: Free users get limited scans. You can watch a rewarded ad for a bonus scan or upgrade to Premium for unlimited scans.
- Rewarded ad not available: Check your internet connection and try again after a few seconds while the next ad loads.
- Purchase not unlocking: Use “Restore Purchases” in PawGuard Premium. Confirm you are signed into the Apple ID used for purchase.
- A saved ingredient was not detected: Scan results compare OCR text with your saved ingredient list only. OCR can miss or misread label text, so review the package directly and contact your veterinarian for clinical advice.
- Need a backup: Use Settings > Data Backup to generate a backup JSON file and share it to your preferred storage destination.
Refunds and Purchases
Payments and refunds are handled by Apple. For refunds, use Report a Problem.
