NumJam Terms of Use (EULA)

Effective date: April 17, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of NumJam: The Musical Calculator, an iOS and iPadOS app for classic and scientific calculator input, musical note playback, instrument sounds, MiniPlay recording, and related Pro features. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Apple Standard EULA

NumJam uses Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). The Apple Standard EULA is available here: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

If there is any conflict between these supplemental terms and Apple's Standard EULA for App Store distribution, Apple's Standard EULA applies where required by Apple's terms and App Store rules.

Use of the App

You may use NumJam only in compliance with applicable laws, Apple's platform rules, and these terms. You are responsible for how you use calculator output, musical playback, recordings, and any content you create or share.

License

Subject to these terms and Apple's Standard EULA, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Subscriptions, Lifetime Purchase, and Billing

NumJam may offer auto-renewable subscriptions such as monthly and yearly Pro plans, plus a one-time lifetime Pro purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings after purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellation timing, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple.

Free Trial and Premium Access

NumJam may provide a free trial or promotional access to Pro features. If you do not subscribe or purchase before a trial ends, premium-only features may become unavailable until an active subscription, lifetime purchase, or eligible entitlement is restored.

Pro Features

NumJam Pro may include Scientific Calculator, the full instrument library, multiple calculator layouts on iPad, recording tools, MiniPlay save and replay features, and other premium sound or workflow options. Feature availability may change over time.

Features and Availability

Features, prices, trial offers, and premium entitlements may change over time. Some functionality may depend on device compatibility, iOS or iPadOS version, local storage availability, audio settings, or Apple platform services.

User Content and Recordings

If you create MiniPlay recordings or export/share app output, you are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful and that you have the rights to share any resulting content. Do not use the app to create, store, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access.
Do not reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where applicable law permits it.
Do not use the app for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.
Do not represent calculator output, sound output, or recordings as professional advice.

Privacy

Your use of the app is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled.

Third-Party Services

NumJam relies on Apple services including the App Store and StoreKit for subscriptions, purchases, and restore purchases. Those services are governed by Apple's own terms and policies.

No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NumJam is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, productivity, revenue, goodwill, recordings, or app access arising from or related to your use of the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes become effective means you accept the revised terms.
