Music Note Reading Game Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 15, 2026
Music Note Reading Game is an iOS app that helps children practice reading music notes using staff flash cards and an on-screen piano. This policy explains what data the app uses, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Summary
- No account required: Music Note Reading Game does not require you to create an account.
- On-device progress: Session history, score stats, settings, and streaks are stored locally on your device.
- No developer backend: Music Note Reading Game does not send your gameplay or progress to our servers.
- Ads and purchases (if enabled): If the app is configured to show ads or offer a Remove Ads purchase, third-party providers may process limited purchase or ad-related data.
Data the App Uses
- Game progress: Session date, total questions, correct answers, timing, streaks, difficulty, and per-question attempts. Stored locally using Apple SwiftData.
- App settings: Preferences such as selected difficulty, sound effects, haptics, and whether ads have been removed. Stored locally on-device.
- Shared score cards: If you choose to share a results image, the image is generated on your device and passed to the iOS share sheet.
- Diagnostics (optional): If you choose to share analytics or crash reports with Apple, Apple may provide aggregated diagnostics that help improve stability.
How Data Is Used
- To run practice rounds and track your learning progress inside the app.
- To show score history, streaks, and top sessions on the home screen.
- To remember your settings across launches.
- To play note, hint, and feedback audio locally on your device.
- To improve reliability and performance based on available diagnostics.
Audio and Haptics
Music Note Reading Game uses on-device audio playback for piano notes, hints, and answer feedback, and may use system haptics for interactions. The app does not record microphone audio.
Sharing
If you share a score card or results image, the content is created on your device and then handled by the app or service you choose from the iOS share sheet. That destination app or service applies its own privacy policy.
Advertising (If Enabled)
Music Note Reading Game may optionally display banner ads using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). If ads are enabled, the ad provider may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interaction data, and diagnostics for ad delivery and measurement.
If you are shown an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, your choice controls whether specific identifiers may be used for tracking. You can change this preference in iOS Settings at any time.
In-App Purchases (If Enabled)
If Music Note Reading Game offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase, that purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Third-Party Services
Music Note Reading Game may rely on the following services that process data under their own privacy policies:
- Apple iOS frameworks (local storage, audio playback, haptics, and optional diagnostics)
- Apple App Store / StoreKit (distribution, purchases, and restore flow)
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) (only if ads are enabled in the app)
- Destination apps/services used through the iOS share sheet
Your Choices
- You can use the app without creating an account.
- You can turn sound effects and haptics on or off in the app.
- You can control tracking preferences and optional Apple diagnostics in iOS Settings.
- You can delete the app to remove locally stored progress and settings from your device.
Children's Privacy
Music Note Reading Game is designed for young music learners to use with a parent, guardian, or teacher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers. If you believe the app has collected personal information from a child in a way not described here, contact us and we will review the issue.
